SOURCE / LIMITS
Global elevation is derived offline from the DLR/PDS Dawn FC2 HAMO stereo radius DTM (64 pixels/degree, about 69.5 m/pixel). NASA PDS documents about 95% source coverage, with some shadowed polar areas interpolated, and ±6 m vertical accuracy for the source product. The runtime stores a 32-cell/degree resampling in static shared-edge terrain packs. Broad surface brightness comes from the Dawn FC HAMO clear-filter mosaic. Source longitudes are converted from the legacy Dawn-Claudia frame to the current IAU Claudia Double Prime frame. Display colour, fine grain, rocks, hazards, routes, missions, and the fictional rover are synthetic educational layers. No live API is used. Not endorsed by NASA, USGS, DLR, or the Dawn mission; not for mission planning or navigation.
